@fireborn you certainly shouldn’t be having those problems. It’s like you’re missing a certificates package or something. Also, I just checked the code, and AGM grabs the nvda dll when installing the game. Because Shooter is 64 bit, the nvda speech server is automatically started. If you have an Arch specific machine around you should be able to verify that it works correctly there.

Could this current machine be missing something like base-devel?

I38

stormdragon2976 pushed changes to the master branch of the I38 project Bypass mode added. In this mode, all keys except the toggle bypass mode key, mod+shift+backspace, will be passed to the application. As far as I know, the toggle key should not conflict with anything.

@fireborn It’s stuff done by AGM itself, for example exporting wine path so that the correct version gets used. Is Swamp the only problematic game, what about something like Shooter or Bloodshed?

@fireborn the only thing I can think of that might be causing that is if it somehow doesn’t properly export variables. It is not happening for me, on Arch, it isn’t happening in Slint, and also in Void. I don’t know anyone personally who can let me know about Ubuntu or Debian, but I haven’t had any complaints from there either, so I am guessing it’s either the distro, or something wront with your user environment, but I have no idea what it could be.

@fireborn that’s very odd. Can you make sure the following file exists?

~/.local/share/audiogame-manager/wine_32/7.7/bin/wine

If it does, then the correct version is installed.

@fireborn Oh it’s certainly a good idea. I was just hoping you would jump up and down and yell “ME ME ME” for writing wiki pages. 😈

@fireborn It works pretty much everywhere with the dependencies installed. We really need more documentation in the wiki for each distro, especially Debian and Ubuntu.

@fireborn It requires multilib, that’s probably the problem.

We got the beginnings of a garden planted. Hopefully the little plants will do well. Time to go play them some metal.

audiogame-manager

stormdragon2976 pushed changes to the testing branch of the audiogame-manager project Updated the Wave of the Undead installer. It works now, but no speech.

@sektor Mountain Dew is a universal good, peeps are a universal bad, so it all balances out, and it’s like doing nothing. Have fun. 🦹‍♂️

@wenwizzle I refuse to use discord. Don’t even have an account. If there’s a project I’m interested in, and its only contact is discord, I go without contact, same for gaming communities.

I might consider it for work related stuff, but the pay would have to be excellent. For example, if work opportunity paid something like $50K, I would probably get one.

So I totally understand someone not liking it lol.
