fosstodon.org was defederated by a lot of instances for reason because someone has bad political opinions, that's not good for a platform, unless this person was actively harrassing people or such, we shouldn't go trigger happy!
I'm a non political unless needed myself, so what, I may get banned or this instance will be defederated?
if yes, I'll be forced to find an other social place, 1/2
I don't agree with this person but that doesn't mean I'm going with pitchforks and guns at them
people, let's just stop political wars, social media should allow for free speech unless you say something that is harassment or just yuck in general.
update, I read the posts more thorough and yeah, the situation is quite nasty.
@patricus I'm definitely not political. I have better things to do with my time. :) Also, I host my own instance, so I make the rules. If some other instance defedirates me for that, good riddance to bad rubbish I say. But yeah, music, coding, helping people with their projects, all much better uses of time and energy.
